Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday. It's about giving thanks and family and it's not about presents. There's a parade. I like parades. Although the date moves every year, Penn was born on a Thanksgiving morning and that's always been kind of special to me.
This year is the first time turkey has made an appearance on our table. I made Turkey Soup with Lime and Chille and it was pretty darned good. Very pho like, fresh and modern which suits our palettes more than stuffings. I made Momofuku's Crack Pie for dessert.
I hope, as our family grows and grows up, that Thanksgiving will always be at mom's house.

How was your crack pie?? My fiancé has been dying for me to bake it, but it looks so involved & time consuming.
It was good! Not that time consuming. Totally worth it to make at least once. It won't be my most favorite pie ever, though.
