I really love oatmeal. I buy it in bulk, steel cut and .99 a pound. I like it thicker than most people and not cooked down to a paste. I'm trying not to slather it in butter and cream like I used to. My metabolism just realized I'm 31 and married and it figures it can take it a little easier, or something. Now it's milk and a bit of brown sugar and a dash of salt (really important) and a sliced banana. Agave or honey were good too.

And it looks really good next to the monstrosity that is McDonalds oatmeal.

I've seen the McD's oatmeal but thought- why bother? I eat that at home. However, I had no idea it was so bad for you.
